My globe-trotting years over and my wanderlust cured, I worked on several big projects at some world famous venues in Dear Old Blighty.
Some years ago I worked in Thailand at a Las Vegas-style theatre.
I put the electrics in once the theatre shell was up, then acted as lighting technician for hundreds of performances (which included a cast of 125 people, elephants, lions and all manner of other circus animals).
It was a blast!
I went on to work at a newly built Hong Kong Airport for one year, around the time that Hong Kong gained independence.
