Carrying out electrical work on a farm is a specialised task for a suitably experienced electrical contractor.
Working around animals and machinery takes a great deal of care, as does working at height or outdoors in challenging conditions.
Furthermore, electrical work carried out on farms often needs to be completed within a very tight timeframe, to enable the farmer to get on with his seasonal jobs or animals to be fed etc.
Farms present their own set of problems arising from the general farm environment and possibly unusual circumstances, such as legacy 460/480v split phase electricity supplies which were often installed to farms and rural locations after the Second World War to save on copper.
